Why use this KGM to MP3 converter?

  • Converts supported Kugou encrypted audio into widely playable MP3 files.
  • Handles tricky names like .kgm, .kgm.flac, and other Kugou-style filename variants.
  • Lets you pick bitrate and output settings after decryption so the final MP3 fits your device and storage needs.
  • No desktop software required. Upload, convert, and download directly from the browser.

How KGM conversion works

KGM files are not standard MP3 files with a strange extension. They are encrypted Kugou containers. Our backend first processes the KGM wrapper, detects the real audio stream inside, and then converts that decrypted result into MP3.

That means some uploads may internally decrypt to FLAC or another standard format before the final MP3 is generated. The page still gives you a normal MP3 download at the end.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a KGM file?

KGM is a Kugou music file format that wraps audio inside an encrypted container. This tool processes supported KGM uploads and converts the detected audio stream into standard MP3.

Do files named .kgm.flac or .kgm.mp3 work?

Yes. Multi-part filenames such as .kgm.flac are common with Kugou downloads. We look at the actual file header instead of trusting the filename alone.

Can I convert any KGM file here?

Yes, for supported files. We handle KGM and similar Kugou formats, but some newer encrypted files still cannot be converted from the file alone. If that happens, export the track locally first and then upload the MP3, WAV, or FLAC version.

Is the decrypted file always MP3 internally?

Not always. Some KGM files decrypt to FLAC or another standard audio format first. We detect the real format and then encode your requested MP3 output.

Is this free?

Yes. No signup, no watermark, and temporary server-side file retention only.
